"The Baron" and "The Sunshine Boys"
These complex castings have been over two years in the makings from Ivan's early concept drawings through to marquette sketches then sculpting and onto the final stages of casting, welding, fettling, patina and waxing.
These intricate sculptures have finally being completed at the foundry and are now undergoing the final detailing at Ivan Clarke's Queenstown Studio ready for delivery. We unveiled these two sculpture prototypes midway through 2007 with a great response; we will soon be exhibiting these bronzes abroad.

Initially we planned to produce a larger number in cast marble as well as the bronze. Collectors will be pleased to learn that we have decided that we would limit the edition strictly to 75 bronzes and 25 A/P hand-colored bronzes due to strong demand to keep them rare. The down side of course is there’s not so many to go around and of course it is a far more labour intensive and expensive medium. These have a special presence about them.

Those who are fortunate to own one of these exquisite new works will have something to be treasured for future generations. Cast in bronze we are looking forward to seeing these become most celebrated in the near future and in time gain wide recognition. Many artisans agree these are world-class works of art that only specialized foundries are able to cast. Click here for more information. |
